Stewardship Education in the Upper Valley, Connecting Schools to: This is NOT a request for applications. This is just an announcement that the NPS and Shelburne Farms have entered into a task agreement under an existing cooperative agreement. Specifically, 1. The Recipient shall carry out the Statement of Work in accordance with the terms and conditions stated herein. The Recipient shall adhere to Federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and codes, as applicable.2. Provide leadership on the design and delivery of no less than 3 teacher development workshops on park-based stewardship education. In particular, the recipient will provide expertise in place-based service learning, stewardship education, and professional development strategies for teachers.3. Coordinate, mentor and provide resources for approximately 25 teachers to develop place-based service-learning curriculum using park resources; and support no less than 27 class visits that implement curriculum-based outdoor learning at the parks. 4. Develop and evaluate collaborative partnerships and programs with education and non-profit entities in the Upper Valley to leverage resources for greater park-based learning programs and enhance the use of the parks as outdoor learning laboratories. 5. Share curriculum, resources, and educational best-practices developed through this project with other parks, public lands and communities through workshops, staff trainings, and outreach through the park's websites. 6. Provide office space, meeting space and related supporting facilities (e.g., phone, fax, copying) at Shelburne Farms, as needed and available, to members of the project team.
