Superconducting Power Equipment - Area of Interest3: Program Area of Interest 3 Other High TemperatureSuperconductivityApplications (DE-PS26-06NT42874-03)The objective of this area is the development and demonstration of HighTemperature Superconductor (HTS) applications not included in Areas ofInterest1 or 2. The goal of proposed projects should be to use HTS devices for moreefficient production and use of electricity. Projects would include, butarenot limited to, use of HTS technology in synchronous condensers/vargenerators,storage systems, transformers, large industrial motors and generators.Theseprojects could include other applications of high temperaturesuperconductivitythat would result in more efficient production or use ofelectricity.
