Supporting Tunisia's Elections: Following closely on the heels of Tunisia's first local elections in May 2018, presidential and Parliamentary elections are scheduled in Tunisia for 2019. Election administration and oversight is the responsibility of the Instance Superieure Independante Pour les Elections (Independent High Authority for Elections - ISIE). The ISIE is constitutionally mandated to manage the organization, administration, and supervision of elections and referendums in accordance with electoral legislation, but is currently facing challenges in management, capacity, and administration.
