Technology to Reduce Refrigerant and Fuel Combustion Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Vehicle Air Conditioning: This notice announces the availability of funds and solicits applications to undertake efforts to develop and implement new technology to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the use of motor vehicle air conditioning. Greenhouse gas emissions from vehicle air conditioning include the direct refrigerant emissions and the indirect exhaust emissions from the additional power required to operate air conditioning compressors, fans and controls and also to transport the additional weight of the air conditioning system.
