Thalassemia Program: This notice announces the opportunity to apply for funding under the FY 2021 Thalassemia Program. This program is comprised of two projects – Project 1 is the Thalassemia Regional Program and Project 2 is the Thalassemia National Coordinating Program. The purpose of Project 1 is to have three recipients support a regional infrastructure to increase the number of providers treating or co-managing individuals with thalassemia in their communities. The purpose of Project 2 is to coordinate telementoring and educational initiatives across the regions and to improve knowledge of thalassemia and evidence-informed treatment recommendations among patients and families.
