Training Materials on Surgical Amputations, Prosthetics and Orthotics (Sbir/Sttr): The purpose of this RFA is to support the development of high-quality, innovative educational materials for a curriculum designed for training orthopedic and general surgical residents in surgical amputation techniques with regard to the interfacing and maintenance of a residual limb with prosthetics and orthotic devices. The educational materials will include video, CD-ROM, and/or DVD technology that can be used in training programs throughout the country. These materials could also be used in continuing medical education curricula.
