Tribal Environmental Education Outreach and Support Program: Since 1993, The Office of Air and Radiation (OAR) has provided assistance agreements to ensure tribes receive appropriate support as they work to develop and implement air quality management programs. The Tribal Environmental Education Outreach and Support Program originally began as part of a larger program grant which provides tribes with comprehensive levels of training and technical support. The program has been in place for several years, and is part of an EPA commitment to work closely with partner tribal governments in recognition of the legal obligations and responsibilities the federal government has to tribes.
