U.S. Consulate General Kolkata: TIP Conclave 5 - Fighting Transnational Crime in the Tri Country Border Area: The U.S. Consulate General, Kolkata will host the fifth “Trafficking in Persons Conclave” in Guwahati, Assam / Shillong, Meghalaya/ Siliguri, West Bengal (or any other city in North East India) to reinforce its commitment to combat human trafficking. The first two conclaves held in Kolkata in 2012, followed by the third international conclave in Guwahati in December 2013, and the fourth international conclave in Ranchi in March 2015, have helped secure Kolkata Consulate’s position as a key partner in strengthening the anti-trafficking movement in the eastern India region.
