U.S. Embassy New Delhi: TIP Conclave 2015 - Unregulated Work Placement Agencies and Their Role in Trafficking in Persons in India: The U.S. Embassy New Delhi plans to host a “Trafficking in Persons Conclave 2015 - Unregulated Work Placement Agencies and Their Role in Trafficking in Persons Throughout India” in New Delhi to reinforce its commitment to combat human trafficking. The proposed two-day conclave will bring together experts, activists, governmental, and law enforcement officials from throughout India and pair them with U.S. counterparts (which may include the Drug Enforcement Administration, Legal Attaché, and other Embassy offices). The conclave may also include international organizations such as the United Nations Office on Drugs & Crime (UNODC) and the International Labor Organization (ILO) to foster greater coordination to combat human trafficking and forced labor.
