U.S. Embassy Santo Domingo Public Affairs Small Grants Program Statement: I. Funding Opportunity Description
Background Information:
The U.S. Embassy Santo Domingo Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce that limited funding is available through the Embassy’s Public Affairs Small Grants program to support activities that promote U.S.-Dominican bilateral relations in the following priority area:
1) English teacher training programs to develop the quality of English language teaching in the Dominican Republic. The primary goal of the funding opportunity is to engage at least 60 English teachers in training programs that will support the development of the English teaching capacity in the Dominican Republic. The target population for this training program will be public school teachers, teachers of the Ministry of Higher Education’s English Immersion Program and teachers of the binational centers (Instituto Cultural Dominico-Americano and Centro Cultural Dominico-Americano).
Proposals will be considered on a rolling basis up until June 15, 2016, 18:00. All projects must begin before September 30, 2016.
