USDA FDPNE Grant Program: The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), authorized by the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008, Public Law 110-246, authorizes FNS to award funds to Food Distribution Programs on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) to conduct nutrition education activities for FDPIR and FDPIR-eligible participants.Since 2008, the USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) has provided Food Distribution Program Nutrition Education (FDPNE) grants to Indian Tribal Organizations (ITOs) and State agencies (SAs).
