WIOA Adult Activities Program Allotments (PY) 2017: Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) allotments for States are based on formula provisions contained in WIOA (see Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL) No. 27-16, Attachment B for WIOA and Wagner-Peyser formula descriptions). The Act waives the competition requirement contained in WIOA secs. 127(b)(1)(B)(ii), 132(b)(1)(A)(ii), and 132(b)(2)(A)(ii) regarding funding to outlying areas (i.e., American Samoa, Guam, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Republic of Palau, and the United States Virgin Islands). For Program Year (PY) 2017, outlying area grant amounts will be based on the administrative formula determined by the Secretary that was used under Workforce Investment Act. Attachment E to the TEGL provides the PY 2017 Adult Activities State Allotments, and a State- by-State comparison of the PY 2017 allotments to PY 2016 allotments.
