mRNA PROFILING OF THE MAJOR MENTAL DISORDERS: EXPLOITING POSTMORTEM HUMAN TISSUE THROUGH GENE ARRAY TECHNOLOGY: This RFA seeks applications that will foster analysis of mRNA profiling in the major mental disorders. Specifically, the initiative will provide support for investigators who wish to initiate or expand their use of gene array profiling technology in studies of human postmortem brain tissue. It is anticipated that such efforts will expand the available data on psychiatric disease-specific mRNA profiles and simultaneously encourage related experiments to understand the neural basis of abnormal gene expression profiles.
