2012 Census of State and Local Law Enforcemnet Agencies: The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) seeks to establish a cooperative agreement with a collection agent to administer the 2012 Census of State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies (CSLLEA2012). The main activities under this award include researching, developing, and maintaining a national roster (i.e., complete enumeration) of all publically funded law enforcement agencies and conducting data collection. The information collected through this census will support a sampling framework to conduct other BJS law enforcement programs as well as surveys conducted by law enforcement organizations and the research community. BJS is authorized to issue this solicitation under the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, Section 302.
