Administrative Support of the Science Envoys Program: The Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs? (OES) Office of Science and Technology Cooperation at the Department of State announce the Request for Applications (RFA) for a project to provide logistical, administrative and financial management of the U.S. Science Envoys Program. The purpose of this award is to manage the travel itineraries and logistical arrangements associated with the Science Envoys program that include international travel and domestic travel arrangements, and related costs and activities while the Science Envoys is traveling overseas. The agreement awarded will use FY 2011 Public Diplomacy Funds. Eligibility is limited to U.S. non-profit/nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) subject to section 501 (c) (3) of the U. S. tax code. Applicants must provide evidence that they have significant experience in planning travel itineraries and implementing international meetings and events overseas. A cooperative agreement for up to 200,000 U.S. Dollars (USD) in FY 2011 Public Diplomacy Funds (PD) will be awarded, for work that supports the administration and travel logistics of the U.S. Science Envoys Program. Funding authority for this project rests in the Smith-Mundt Act.
