- Grant Description
- This is a Notice of Intent by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to make an award to the Bay Area Open Space Council. The CA LCC is a collaborative effort that focuses on landscape-scale planning and coordination across science and management disciplines to address the conservation challenges necessitated by climate change. The CA LCC is charged with providing scientific and technical support for landscape-scale conservation in an adaptive management framework that emphasizes science-based biological planning, conservation design, research, inventory and monitoring. The Bay Area Open Space Council will complete the San Francisco Bay Area Upland Habitats Goals project. Bay Area Open Space Council is uniquely qualified and selected for this work based on their extensive experience in leading and completing this project.
