Countering Mis- and Disinformation: Based on funding availability, this project will empower target audiences to prevent, identify, investigate, and curb mis- and disinformation in a variety of contexts. Beneficiaries will be equipped to replicate their training and knowledge to new audiences, multiplying the impact of the training. Target audiences will be stakeholders in Nepal's information scene including but not limited to journalists, civil society members, students, social media content creators, policymakers and government officials. The project's innovative trainings should cover digital tools, critical thinking, research skills, fact checking, communications and/or other skills needed to curb the ever-growing threat of false information.
