Electronic Media Training: The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the Embassy of the United States in Islamabad, Pakistan, is pleased to announce an open competition for an assistance award through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). PAS Islamabad invites all eligible organizations (see Section C for Eligibility Requirements) to submit a proposal for a grant or cooperative agreement to train 200 – 300 Pakistani TV news anchors, reporters, producers, editors, and/or technicians in Pakistan and produce 60 – 80 resident trainers via the train-the-trainer program.
The applicant will be expected to design a hands-on, skills-based training program, to be presented in the form of short workshops, to improve the competency of professional, working TV news anchors, reporters, producers, editors, and/or technicians in Pakistan. The program to be proposed by the successful applicant, should be no fewer than six months, and include a culminating project to include a package of developed, edited, and taped stories of broadcast quality, using industry standard techniques and equipment.

- PAS Islamabad is accepting applications from U.S. and Pakistan –based and registered not-for-profit, civil society/non-governmental organizations, and educational institutions. Eligible organizations must have past experience with developing and executing journalism training, specifically with electronic media. A copy of the organization’s registration should be provided with the proposal application.
