Epidemiology Program for American Indians/Alaska Natives and Urban Indian Communities: This program is authorized under Section 214(b)(1) of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act, 25 U.S.C. 1621(m), Pub. L. 94-437, as amended by Pub. L. 102-573. This program is described in section 93.231 in the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance. There will be only one funding cycle during Fiscal Year (FY) 2006. These cooperative agreements will be awarded and administered in accordance with this announcement, Department of Health and Human Service (HHS) at 45 CFR part 92, HHS Uniform Administrative Requirements for Grants and Cooperative Agreements to State, local, and Tribal governments, or 45 CFR part 74, Uniform Administrative Requirements for Awards and Subawards to Institutions of Higher Education, Hospitals, Other Non-profit Organizations and Commercial Organizations; the Public Health Service (PHS) Grant Policy Statement; and applicable Office of Management and Budget Circulars. The PHS urges applicants submitting an application to address specific objectives of Healthy People 2010.
