Grant Description
The objective of the agreement is for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Arizona Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit to collect museum samples from 4 bobwhite subspecies occurring in Mexico. The Arizona Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit will employ mitochondrial and microsatellite DNA markers to inventory and examine taxonomic differences among these subspecies and compare their genetic makeup to that of the endangered masked bobwhite.
