Grant Description
The purpose of the NRCS is to assist private landowners in the conservation and wise use of land, water, wildlife and related resources. NRCS seeks assistance in the furtherance of the Colorado Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative (GLCI), a USDA conservation program, administered by the NRCS to assure they are effectively implemented. For FY 2006, up to $48,500 is available for this agreement. Three additional option years, with undetermined funding, may be available to the awardee. NRCS has a need for specific assistance in the provision of information/education/ administrative assistance to the GLCI committee in assisting and promoting the conservation of private grazing lands in Colorado.
