Implementation of the University Faculty Exchange (UFE): The U.S. Embassy Tashkent Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations or institutions to submit applications to manage and implement an academic exchange program specifically for university faculty. The exchange program will provide one semester (about four months) academic exchanges at U.S. universities for up to 40 university faculty members to boost their teaching skills and professional expertise. The program's aim is to provide faculty the skills and expertise to help modernize and provide support to Uzbekistan's higher education system in a variety of ways, including creating sustainable partnerships between university faculty in Uzbekistan and the United States, developing contemporary innovative curriculum, and modernizing research methods. By participating in the exchange program, faculty will be empowered to improve their classroom teaching practices and will have the necessary tools to prepare their students better to enter the workforce.
