Grant Description
The Department of State will hold a pre-proposal conference call for all interested on Monday, August 24, 2009 at 09:00 Eastern Daylight Time to discuss any questions about the Iraq Anti-Corruption Assistance Program announcement. Participants are encouraged to call from the U.S.toll free 1-888-677-1761 and enter code 3694738. From outside the U.S. dial +1-210-839-7620 (toll apply) and enter code 3694738.The purpose of this announcement is to inform interested parties about funding opportunities through grants or cooperative agreements to provide technical assistance to Iraq to improve anti-corruption measures in Iraq and support the development of a more robust civil society. The Department of State invites proposals from qualified U.S. and non-U.S. organizations with specific functional expertise in the program areas described in this announcement. Organizations that submit applications in response to this announcement acknowledge and accept that travel to and from Iraq may be required for project performance and that personal security will be in accordance with the current Department of State policies and as further discussed in this announcement. This announcement serves as public notice to all interested parties to have equal opportunity to submit project proposals for funding consideration. All submissions in response to this announcement are voluntary and do not obligate the Department of State to fund any proposal or proposal preparation costs.
