Modeling Habitat Connectivity and Range Expansion for the Pacific Marten and Fisher in Northern California: Funds under this Single Source CESU award to Humboldt State University are to be used to: (1) develop a habitat suitability model by mapping fisher and marten habitat use and selection at two spatial scales; (2) conduct a least cost path connectivity analysis to describe how dispersing fishers and martens are moving through unoccupied habitat; and (3) model Humboldt marten population expansion in northwestern California. This award is made under the authority of the Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act of 1958, 16 U.S.C.661.
