Additional Information on Eligibility
Applicant Eligibility Nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3), U.S. organizations; units of state or local government; or federally recognized tribal communities or tribes may apply. To be eligible, the applicant organization must: Meet the Arts Endowment's "Legal Requirements" at the time of application. Have submitted acceptable Final Report packages by the due date(s) for all Arts Endowment award(s) previously received. Have at least a three-year history of advancing arts opportunities for older Americans.
Grant Description
The Arts Endowment is seeking an organization (Cooperator) to launch a technical assistance effort designed to advance arts opportunities for older Americans. As its primary task, the Cooperator will create an online directory and resource database of national, state, and local arts learning programs for older Americans, identifying key services and best practices for artists working with older adults. The project also involves development of an online training course and self-evaluation tool for artists seeking to build skills for working with older adults. The Arts Endowment's support of this project may start on or after December 1, 2010. Period of Support This Cooperative Agreement will begin no earlier than December 1, 2010, and may extend for up to 18 months.
