Notice of Intent-Project to Combat Child Labor: This is a Notice of Intent Only. The U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL), Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), intends to award up to $5 million, through a competitive and merit-based process, for one or more cooperative agreements to organizations to implement a project(s) that aims to reduce child domestic work in South Asia and/or South East Asia. USDOL's Office of Child labor, Forced Labor and Human Trafficking (OCFT) conducts and funds research, develops strategic partnerships and funds an international technical cooperation program to eliminate the worst forms of child labor, forced labor and human trafficking internationally. Information on specific target groups, sectors, geographic regions, and funding levels for the potential projects in the countries/regions listed above will be addressed in the posted solicitation for grant application(SGA)to be published prior to December 31,2012. All inquiries regarding this notice should reference NOI-Child Domestic Work-Southeast Asia 3.
