- Grant Description
- A cooperative working relationship between a local subdivision of State government and BLM will allow for the survey and management and control of noxious weed species on public and adjoining private lands within Harney County. Through combined efforts, the Early Detection-Rapid Response (EDRR) of new or expanding infestations of noxious weeds can be identified and treatment action taken quickly to reduce the number of acres infested with noxious weeds. This project will allow for the survey and treatment of small satellite weed populations or colonies. By coordinating efforts, the protection, restoration, and enhancement of resources by the reduction of noxious weeds will be realized on both Federal and non-Federal lands.
