OJJDP FY 20 Delinquency Prevention Program: This program will provide grants to eligible states or federally recognized tribes to implement evidence-based strategies to address the unmet needs of at-risk or delinquent youth through a continuum of delinquency prevention programs for juveniles who have had or who are likely to have contact with the juvenile justice system. Category 1: State Delinquency Prevention Programs: OJJDP-2020-18192: Only the agency designated by the chief executive (e.g., the governor) of each state that has a properly constituted state advisory group (SAG), as specified in the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA), see 34 U.S.C. § 11133(a)(3). Applicants must be fully eligible; participating in the Title II Formula Grants Program and in compliance with all four core requirements as outlined in Title II, Part B of the JJDPA, see 34 U.S.C. § 11133(a)(11), (12), (13), and (15). Applicants who do not meet this criterion are ineligible to apply under this solicitation. Category 2: Tribal Delinquency Prevention Programs: OJJDP-2020-18193: Federally recognized Indian tribal governments as determined by the Secretary of the Interior or a consortium of such tribes may apply for funding under this category.
