Parental Factors Related to Children Missing Scheduled Immunization Visits: CDCs Procurement and Grants Office has published a new funding opportunity entitled, "Parental Factors Related to Children Missing Scheduled Immunization Visits." $150,000 will be available in FY2006 to fund approximately 1 award. NIP is soliciting investigator-initiated research that will help expand and advance our understanding of parental factors related to children missing scheduled immunization visits or well child visits in which immunizations were to be provided. The purpose of the program is to fund a survey of parents to identify parental factors which result in children less than age 36 months missing scheduled immunization appointments. The earliest anticipated start date is September 15, 2006.
