Grant Description: This is a single source announcement based on the recipient's unique ability to carry out the proposed tasks. The Division of International Conservation intends to enter into an agreement with the Ramsar Secretariat to conduct a workshop entitled "Workshop to Review Implementation of the Regional Wetlands Action Plan for the Pacific Islands". Project grant will support government officials from the Pacific Island States to develop an implementation plan for the wise use of wetlands. The meeting is scheduled to take place in Noumea, New Caledonia from August 2-6, 2010. The only eligible recipient of these funds is the Ramsar Secretariat.
