In accordance with 10 CFR Part 420, eligibility for award is restricted to the 50 States, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. Applications must be submitted by the State Energy Office or other agency responsible for administering the State Energy Program pursuant to 10 CFR part 420, although States may work in collaboration with non-State partners. A list of State Energy Offices can be found at: http://www.eere.energy.gov/state_energy_program/seo_contacts.cfm The Department of Energy (DOE) Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) is seeking applications from State Energy Offices or other agencies responsible for administering the State Energy Program, for the development and delivery of Industrial Energy Efficiency assessments/audits to local manufacturing entities. Key elements of the State assessment effort will include implementation follow-up strategies with the facilities to promote adoption of recommended projects, and a clearly defined plan for collecting, measuring, and reporting the energy savings results from projects implemented as a result of the assessment. Funding of approximately $300,000 is anticipated to be available in Fiscal Year 2008. DOE anticipates making four to six awards. Award amounts are expected not to exceed $50,000 over a 12-18 month project period. Applications for this Funding Opportunity Announcement must be accessed, completed, and submitted through Grants.gov at http://www.grants.gov to be considered for award. In addition to submitting your application through Grants.gov, applicants must also e-mail their application to ITP@go.doe.gov by the prescribed due date of November 1, 2007, 11:59 PM Eastern time.
