- he Office of Citizen Exchanges welcomes proposals in an open competition for Tibet Professional, Educational and Cultural Exchange Projects that focus on the themes of Cultural Preservation and Economic Self-sufficiency. Approximately $500,000 is available to support projects under this competition in Fiscal Year 2004. Public and private non-profit organizations meeting the provisions described in Internal Revenue Code section 26 U.S.C. 501(c)(3) may submit proposals to promote understanding between the people of the United States and Tibetan people living in Tibetan communities in China through professional, educational and cultural projects.
