Additional Information on Eligibility
The eligible applicants for the Tribal Indoor Radon Projects include Federally Recognized Indian Tribes and Tribal consortia.
Grant Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 9, Air Division, is soliciting proposals from eligible Tribes and Tribal Consortia to fund Tribal Indoor Radon Pilot Project. Projects must demonstrate the effectiveness of reducing health risks through the development and implementation of projects for the assessment and mitigation of radon. Proposals must address one or more of the following priority areas: -Promote radon-resistant new building construction in homes and schools -Promote/plan radon testing and mitigation of homes and schools -Promote radon testing in homes in conjunction with property transfers -Promote and/or develop coalitions to work in partnership in order to reduce the risk of radon exposure.
