USAID/CAR Combating Human Trafficking: This modification provides Questions and Answers that are intended to assist prospective applicants with preparation of applications and program descriptions. 1. Are all of the suggested activities required elements in the program to be proposed? In other words, should the applicant justify focusing on legal or legislative aspects over medical ones? Applicants must propose activities within the listed program categories (i.e. prevention, legislation and implementation of laws and/or protections for the specific country). The specific types of activities within these categories are up to the applicants to propose and justify. 2. How geographically-balanced do the activities need to be? Can we focus on rural areas more than urban ones? Geographic focus of the program activities are up to the applicant. The applicant must justify why they want to focus on a particular area or population. 3. Does the main administrator of the program need to be in Almaty or can he/she be in another city in the region? Since this activity is a regional program that will be managed by the USAID/CAR regional mission in Almaty, we feel it is important to have a point of contact for the program based in Almaty. 4. Does the regional project also include Turkmenistan? The program activities will be in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
