- Grant Description
- The objective of WRP is to provide assistance to landowners in planning, designing and implementing wetland and associated upland restoration plans that maximize wildlife habitat in wetland systems, as well as provide water quality improvements, reduced soil erosion, reduced impacts of flooding and provide wildlife habitat opportunities for threatened and endangered species. Applicants will be responsible for assisting producers by providing technical assistance necessary to submit a WRP application. The technical assistance will require initial landowner contacts to determine land eligibility and thoroughly explain the WRP easement policies. The individuals providing the direct technical assistance will be required to process the complete applicant package and develop and implement WRP restoration plans. Performance may also include any part or all operations necessary to perform initial planning activities, preliminary engineering surveys, inspection, and construction management activities for various wetland restorations, enhancement and creation practices; and monitoring activities on established USDA WRP easements.
