2019 NPS Visitor Services Internships - Alaska Academy: This task agreement covers the placement of three internships with a focus on visitor services at park unit sites across Alaska through the NPS Academy program in partnership with SCA. These sites include Denali National Park and Preserve, Katmai National Park and Preserve, Alaska Regional Office/Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance Program. These positions will provide parks and programs with young adults for 12 weeks during the peak field season of May ¿ August, who will assist Park Service staff in a variety of visitor services tasks including engaging and managing park visitors, creating safe opportunities for visitors to experience park resources, and connecting visitors and residents with parks. Moreover, it is intended that these internships will afford participants the opportunity to gain valuable workforce development skills as well as exposure to various NPS career avenues.
