Advanced Management and Protection of Energy-Storage Devices (AMPED): The purpose of this amendment is to incorporate changes to the Funding Opportunity Announcement, DE-FOA-0000675. Accordingly, this modification (1) Changed the due date for Replies to Reviewer Comments to June 25, 2012, and (2) Removed Section VI.B.11: Section VI.B.11 was intended to implement ?316 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2012. That section requires the recipients of Department of Energy grants in excess of $1,000,000 to upgrade any lighting in their facilities that does not meet the incandescent efficiency standards set forth in 42 U.S.C. ?6295. ARPA-E removed this section because ?316 applies exclusively to grants. It does not apply to any other form of financial assistance. In the unlikely event that ARPA-E awards a grant (which have not been issued to date, and are not expected to be issued in the future), the requirement in ?316 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2012 would apply. To obtain a copy of the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) please go to the ARPA-E website at https://arpa-e-foa.energy.gov. Notices of Intent, Full Applications, and Replies to Reviewer Comments must be submitted through ARPA-E eXCHANGE (https://arpa-e-foa.energy.gov/), ARPA-E?s online application portal. ARPA-E will not review or consider applications submitted through other means. For detailed guidance on using ARPA-E eXCHANGE, please refer to the ARPA-E eXCHANGE User Guide (https://arpa-e-foa.energy.gov/Manuals.aspx).
