Electromagnetic Pulse Tolerant Microwave Receiver Front-End: Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Contracts Management Office (CMO), 3701 North Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22203-1714.A - Electromagnetic Pulse Tolerant Microwave Receiver Front-End, SOL BAA 07-45, DUE DATE: 072707, POC STEVE PAPPERT, DARPA/MTO, FAX (703) 696-2206NOTE: (THIS BAA IS A RE-PUBLICATION OF DARPA BAA 07-19 SUSPENDED ON 13 FEBRUARY 2007)The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is soliciting research proposals in the area of survivability of microwave receiver front-ends from high energy threats. The objective is to create a microwave receiver front-end which can withstand high energy exposure without compromising receiver sensitivity, bandwidth, or dynamic range. The objective of the Electromagnetic Pulse Tolerant Microwave Receiver Front-End program is to develop a novel robust and sensitive microwave receiver front-end capable of surviving high energy electromagnetic attacks. The robust RF front-end technology developed should be scalable to operate within the 0.5-18 GHz frequency band over as large a fractional bandwidth as feasible while maintaining high sensitivity. The program will culminate in a full system performance demonstration leading to military system transition opportunities. DARPA Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) No. 07-45, entitled "Electromagnetic Pulse Tolerant Microwave Receiver Front-End," is provided as an attachment to this solicitation notice and includes information on the specific areas of interest; the submission process; abstract and proposal formats; evaluation and selection/funding processes; as well as all other pertinent administrative and contractual information. The BAA may be obtained from the FedBizOpps website: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/, Grants.gov website: http://www.grants.gov/, World Wide Web (WWW) at URL http://www.darpa.mil/mto (go to "solicitation" area) or by fax, electronic mail, or mail request to the administrative contact address given below. Proposals not meeting the format or following the submission instructions described in the BAA may not be reviewed.
