- Dependant upon funding availability. As part of this endangered species outreach effort, the refuge along with its partners organize and hold a Riparian Brush Rabbit Festival each year which seeks to promote public interest in the brush rabbit, endangered species, other riparian wildlife, and riparian habitats. Information booths, guided tours to riparian habitats and youth events are provided at the festival. This project will promote the event and aid in providing educational materials on riparian habitats and the brush rabbit.
