- Grant Description
- The Office of Naval Research (ONR), Code 333, is interested in receiving "White Papers" and ?Full Proposals? for new innovative Science & Technology (S & T) in areas pertaining to Naval Undersea Weaponry. Specific Research Areas of Interest include (but are not limited to): University/Laboratory Initiative, Torpedo Defense, Torpedo Guidance and Control, Undersea Weaponry Propulsion, Supercavitating Undersea Weaponry, Undersea Weapon Design and Optimization, and Undersea Warheads and Explosives.The objective of the Undersea Weapons S&T Program is to develop and demonstrate technologies that contribute to: (1) the neutralization of threat submarine targets by increasing probability of kill in all scenarios, countering (both soft and hard kill) enemy torpedoes, (2) providing the ability to conduct long range engagements, increasing weapons load out, (3) providing weapon-platform connectivity, (4) and reducing costs.
