Fiscal Year 2009 Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG): An all-hazards approach to emergency response, including the development of a comprehensive program of planning, training, and exercises, provides the foundation for an effective and consistent response to any threatened or actual disaster or emergency, regardless of the cause. As appropriated by the Consolidated Security, Disaster Assistance, and Continuing Appropriations Act of 2009 (Public Law 110-329), the FY 2009 EMPG provides $306,022,500 to assist State and local governments to enhance and sustain all-hazards emergency management capabilities.* Please note that these required forms may fall under either the mandatory or optional document headings in the application package.
