Giant Garter Snake Habitat Restoration: The Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-Pacific Region, intends to issue a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), San Joaquin River Restoration Program: Giant Garter Snake Habitat Restoration, for a Grant Agreement(s) pursuant to the authority of Public Law 111-11, San Joaquin River Restoration Settlement Act, Title X, Subtitle A, Section 10004(b)(2). The objective of this FOA is for local agencies, landowners, private companies, or non-governmental organizations to fund planning, design, environmental compliance, and construction of habitat restoration for Giant Garter Snakes adjacent to the Fresno Slough or near the Volta Wildlife Area. Period of Performance is approximately 5 years from the date of issuance. BOR-MP-17-F004 was posted on the GRANTS.GOV web site, at www.grants.gov, on or about June 22, 2017. The date for receipt of proposals is September 8, 2017, no later than 2 p.m. PST. The FOA must be downloaded from Grants.gov. No paper copy of this announcement will be distributed.
