Giant Garter Snake Habitat Restoration: The Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-Pacific Region, intends to issue a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), San Joaquin River Restoration Program: Giant Garter Snake Habitat Restoration, for a Grant Agreement(s) pursuant to the authority of Public Law 111-11, San Joaquin River Restoration Settlement Act, Title X, Subtitle A, Section 10004(b)(2). The objective of this FOA is for local agencies, landowners, private companies, or non-governmental organizations to fund planning, design, environmental compliance, and construction of habitat restoration for Giant Garter Snakes adjacent to the Fresno Slough or near the Volta Wildlife Area.
