Grant Description
The Laboratory Technical Implementation Assistance for Public Health Cooperative Agreement Program will provide funding to advance public health laboratory capacity to share laboratory orders and results electronically with clinical care and public health agencies in order to achieve meaningful use. This cooperative agreement will establish Laboratory Technical Implementation Assistance for Public Health (LTIAPH) to assist state/territorial/large local public health laboratories and state/local health departments to enhance laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other critical IT infrastructure to support interoperability of electronic laboratory data between clinical care (through EHRs) and public health agencies.
