Maintenance of Utah Site Data Between the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation , Upper Colorado Region and the Utah State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO): Following 36 CFR Part 79, the responsibilities of Reclamation and University of Wyoming Archaeological Repository are as follows: Under the National Historic Preservation Act, section 101(b): (6) (A), bureaus within the Department of Interior may enter into contracts or cooperative agreements with a State Historic Preservation Officer to carry out one or more of the following responsibilities within that State. It is anticipated that the major activities will be: 1) Determination of the eligibility of properties for listing on the National Register. 2) Maintenance of historical and archaeological data bases. 3) Sharing information with Reclamation and others.
