- Grant Description
- Purpose. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) issued by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), National Institutes of Health (NIH), encourages grant applications from institutions/organizations that propose to establish Centers for Diabetes Translation Research (CDTR) whose cores support and enhance diabetes type II translation research (e.g., bedside to practice and the community). All activities pursued by CDTRs should enhance the efficiency, productivity, effectiveness and multidisciplinary nature of diabetes translation research. Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the P30 award mechanism. Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. The total amount to be awarded under this RFA is up to $3 million for each of 5 years. The NIDDK anticipates awarding up to seven (7) Center grants under this FOA.
