Law enforcement in schools, colleges and universities and other educational institutions poses unique challenges. In this solicitation, the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) seeks concepts for affordable, more effective technology solutions to protect the nations students, teachers and other personnel, as well as the educational infrastructure from criminal activities, particularly from crimes of violence. Specific areas of technological interest include: 1. Integrated physical security systems. 2. School bus fleet monitoring systems. 3. Low-level force devices. 4. School safety training.
