NIJ FY23 Support for the Law Enforcement Advancing Data and Science Scholars Program: OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. With this solicitation, NIJ seeks proposals to support the Law Enforcement Advancing Data and Science (LEADS) Scholars Program, an ongoing NIJ program designed to increase the in-house research capabilities of law enforcement agencies by building data and research skills of individuals employed by and engaged with these agencies. The LEADS Scholars Program advances evidence-based policing by supporting the development of research-minded law enforcement professionals and their academic partners through travel, training, research support, and partnership opportunities.
