National Public Health Practice and Resource Centers for Children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder or Tourette Syndrome: The purpose of the National Public Health Practice and Resource Centers (NPHPRC) on Health for Children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Tourette syndrome (TS) is to fund centers that have the capacity to develop and provide health promotion programs and health communication and education resources for both professionals and the public regarding ADHD or TS. Program strategies should include 1) Planning and Leadership, 2) Information, Consultation and Referral, 3) Health Communication Programs and Materials Development, and 4) Education and Training. The NPHPRC's mission is to provide information, education and consultation about assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and health and well-being for children with ADHD or TS. Other target audiences in the NPHPRC's health promotion mission are health care professionals, education professionals, caregivers, and the public. Health promotion for children with ADHD or TS requires condition-specific information in addition to information and activities that address common aspects of living with ADHD or TS.

Additional Information on Eligibility: Eligibility Information Eligible Applicants: Organizations that meet any of the following criteria: - American Indian/Alaska Native tribal governments (federally recognized or state-recognized) - American Indian/Alaska native tribally designated organizations - Alaska Native health corporations - Colleges - Community-based organizations - Faith-based organizations - For Profit Organizations - Hospitals - Nonprofit with 501C3 IRS status (other than institution of higher education) - Nonprofit without 501C3 IRS status (other than institution of higher education) - Political subdivisions of States (in consultation with States) - Research institutions (that will perform activities deemed as non-research) - Small, minority, and women-owned businesses - State and local governments or their Bona Fide Agents (this includes the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianna Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau) . - Tribal epidemiology centers - Universities - Urban Indian health organizations 2. Special Eligibility Requirements: The applicant organization must include evidence of a scope of work and a mission to serve people with Attention-Deficit /Hyperactivity Disorder or Tourette Syndrome. Documentation of 1) an organizational charter and mission to serve people with ADHD or TS, 2) a listing and CVs of medical or scientific advisory board that reflect expertise in ADHD or TS, and 3) a progress report demonstrating communication and outreach work with the target population, is requested, if not received the application will be considered non-responsive and will not be entered into the review process. The applicant will be notified that the application did not meet the eligibility requirements". Documentation can be submitted by uploading in Grants.gov under "Other Attachment Forms." Each document should be labeled (e.g., "Proof of Organizational Charter," "Proof of Public Health Mission", "Proof of Medical and Scientific Advisory Board etc.).
