Grant Description: Youth gangs continue to have a significant adverse impact on youth, families, and communities across America. Leading gang experts and a growing number of communities have endorsed multi-strategy, multi-disciplinary approaches to reducing gang activity. The OJJDP FY 07 Gang Prevention Coordination Assistance Program provides funding for localities to enhance coordination of local, state, and federal resources in support of community partnerships implementing two or more of the following anti-gang strategies: primary prevention, secondary prevention, gang intervention, and gang enforcement. This program is authorized by Pub. L. No. 110-5, embedded secs. 101-104 and 20940; Pub. L. No. 109-108, 119 Stat. 2290, 2303 (OJJDP Gangs).
