Applicants must represent a national membership, professional, or affiliation group. Local or state chapters of such groups based on membership, profession, or affiliation may apply, but must document a close partnership with their national office to achieve national capacity for the dissemination of this project. A private nonprofit organization does not have to have 501 (c) 3 status to apply for funding under this solicitation.
Grant Description
The purpose of the OVC FY 07 Action Partnerships initiative is to create partnerships among OVC, the victim services field, and national scope membership and professional organizations to advance victims' rights and services through training, public awareness, and educational efforts. Applicants under this solicitation are asked to submit project proposals which focus on raising awareness or promoting a collaborative response to victims of stalking, domestic violence, dating violence, or child abuse (or a combination thereof).
